Shaun Gray and Steve Novak, the owners of Cattle Grid, the fast-casual steakhouse chain and chicken-led concept Poulet Rouge, are to open a new pub format in London’s Earlsfield.
Novak commented, The Earlsfield, which will open later this summer on Garratt Lane, will have the “essence of Cattle Grid, but include food from the rest of the farm. Shaun and I already operate a Greene King tenancy, which is going well, so when this site came up we thought it was a good opportunity to go further down the pub route while also incorporating some of the key points from Cattle Grid and Poulet Rouge.”
The 3,500sq ft site sits adjacent to Earlsfield Station and boasts plenty of character with triple height ceiling, wooden beams and a fantastic railway arch. It will also feature Sky Sports and an extensive drinks range.
Cattle Grid currently operates five sites, four in London and one in Leeds.
Selsian acting on behalf of Cattle Grid secured the site amongst stiff competition agreeing a new 20 year lease at a passing rent of £90,000 pa from landlords Network Rail.
